Structured Literacy Series for Students with Disabilities: SDI and Multisensory Learning
This professional learning session will review the definition of Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) and Multisensory Learning. Participants will discuss ways to promote student learning by using high yield instructional practices and ways to align these practices with multisensory learning.
Goals: To provide examples of instructional practices in the area of reading and provide ways to incorporate multisensory learning with these practices.
Outcome: To demonstrate examples of instructional practices and how these practices can be used in daily lessons to support students with disabilities.
