What is GaDOE Community?

The Georgia Department of Education launched this site to provide a platform for Department staff to interact with our colleagues across the state. This site has been developed to facilitate collaboration and our ongoing efforts to provide the services and supports necessary to ensure all students across Georgia have what they need to be successful. This is a place where GaDOE teams, school and district staff, RESAs, and other partners within the state can interact to share important information, discuss ongoing work, and share success stories across agencies.

Who can join and become a member?

Professionals, who meet one of the following categories, are eligible to register for a Community account:
  • Georgia public pre-kindergarten through grade 12 employees;
  • GaDOE employees;
  • Regional Educational Service Agency employees;
  • Other Georgia state agency employees;
  • Georgia higher education faculty members;
  • GaDOE advisory panel members;
  • GaDOE contractors;
  • GaDOE collaborative partners;
  • Private pre-kindergarten through grade 12 employees; and
  • Georgia pre-service teachers in a teacher education program.
Community should not be used by anyone under the age of 18.

How do I become a member?

From the login screen, please click “Create an Account” in the upper right-hand section of the message box. Please complete and submit the form that appears. You will receive a confirmation email that your request has been received.

What if the username I entered is already taken?

Your username should be your legal name. If your username has already been taken, please add an additional character or number to your name.

How long does it take for my account to be approved?

User registration requests are reviewed Mon-Fri during normal business hours. Please allow 24 hours, excluding weekends, for your registration request to be approved.

How do I know my account has been approved?

Be advised that you will NOT receive an email alerting you of your approval status. Simply return at least 24 hours after submitting registration to the Community login screen and log in with the username and password you provided.

Will I receive an email once I am approved?

No, you will NOT receive an email alerting you of your approval status. Simply return at least 24 hours after submitting registration to the Community login screen and log in with the username and password you provided.

Why has my registration not been approved?

There could be multiple reasons why your account has not been approved, including:
  • The account information provided does not meet eligibility requirements
  • The information included a personal email address instead of a professional email address
  • The professional email address contained errors (e.g. “k.1.2” instead of “k12”)
  • It has not been 24 hours yet, excluding weekends

What should I do if I think my account wasn't approved?

If you think your account wasn’t approved, please review the eligibility criteria and the guidance under “Why has my registration not been approved?” After reviewing the information, please create a new account with the corrected information (e.g. professional email address, corrected information, etc.). Remember, please allow 24 hours, excluding weekends, for the account to be approved before attempting to login with the new information.

Why am I not receiving my password reset information?

There could be multiple reasons why you have not received your password reset information:
  • The email may be in a spam/junk folder
  • The email is blocked by your school/district
  • The original email address was incorrectly typed
  • The inbox does not match the account email address submitted
Please double-check all folders and that you are looking at the inbox that matches the account email address.

Why does it say there is no account with that username or email address?

If you receive an error after attempting to reset your password, this means there is no active account with the username and/or email address entered. If you receive this error, please verify you have entered your work email/username correctly without typos. If you still receive an error, please create a new account.
