2026 ESOL Program Leadership Statewide Convening

Theme: Intentional Leadership in Action: Collaboration, Consistency, and Classroom Impact
This convening provides ESOL leaders with clarity, tools, and collaborative connections to lead with intention and deliver consistent, high-quality support for English learners statewide. Register by Tuesday, June 23.
Who Should Attend:
– ESOL Directors and Coordinators
– District Level ESOL Instructional Coaches
Goals:
1. Strengthen leadership capacity to consistently apply state ESOL guidance, policies, and procedures across local ESOL programs.
2. Foster purposeful collaboration and professional networks among GaDOE divisions, ESOL Program Advisory Committee members, and both new and experienced program leaders.
3. Deepen understanding of instructional impact by connecting intentional language development practices to outcomes in the classroom.
Intended Outcomes: ESOL Program leaders will –
1. Apply state guidance with increased clarity and confidence in the implementation of local ESOL programs.
2. Implement consistent, state-aligned practices for EL identification, ESOL service delivery, and EL reclassification.
3. Leverage cross-divisional partnership and resources (e.g., Assessment, Data Collections, Federal Programs, School & District Improvement, Special Education, Teaching & Learning) to address program needs and strengthen outcomes for English learners.
Breakfast and lunch included. Participants are responsible for lodging and travel costs. Business casual attire.
