The Effingham County School District Pups Uplifting People (P.U.P.) Therapy Dog Program is successfully in its first two years as an animal-assisted intervention program. The reception of the program by faculty, staff, students, and the community has been wildly positive. Given the good, growth, and healing that has bloomed through this program, Effingham County School District is willing to share their model, insight, and guidance with any district interested in starting a program of their own.
