April 15 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Description:
Join us for a highly interactive session for K-12 instructional coaches and teachers focused on planning and facilitating student-centered practices or personalized learning. All content is aligned with Georgia’s vision and standards for personalized learning.
The session’s goal is to guide coaches and teachers in understanding the why, what, and how of learner agency so they can support and assist teachers. We will explore how learner agency refers to the ownership and control that learners should have over their own learning. Learner agency is a term that captures the important goal of students being active learners who can make choices. Activities will include student-focused approaches and simulations of best practices in action, including voice and choice learning experiences.
Facilitators will share hands-on and reflection activities designed to engage and empower learners. Participants will walk away with knowledge of easy-to-use learner-centered experiences and the ability to apply practices that build capacity for the sustainability of personalized learning.
