Child Bereavement 101 (Teachers)

Description:
This session is designed and scheduled for classroom teachers, as their limited schedules make accessing mental health professional learning difficult. To keep these sessions accessible for them, we kindly ask non‑classroom staff to register for our other available training opportunities.
This training offers the basic knowledge of grief reactions in children and teens and tips for supporting the student at school. Participants will learn to recognize grief reactions in children and adolescents according to developmental age, respond to a grieving student, use tools to help a student after a death, and discuss mediators to the grieving process.
Duration: 1 hour
