Creating student leaders in the dance classroom is part of preparing dance students to be career ready. Key elements of creating student leaders include encouraging students’ voice, delegating responsibilities, creating routines, and promoting a positive work ethic. This video explores each of these categories and how to integrate student leaders in the classroom through task management, coordinating student-led tasks, creating additional leadership opportunities, as well as collaboration with student leaders.
