The Academy of New Federal Programs Leaders Series features GaDOE Federal Programs staff providing timely guidance on upcoming grant cycle topics. New federal programs leaders are encouraged to register and participate in this series, which aligns with and expands upon the Federal Programs Timely Talks series offered throughout the year. For the 2026-2027 school year, GaDOE offers three in-person and four virtual sessions.

July 28, 2026 – Use of Funds/Funding Plans, Navigating the Consolidation Application (ConApp) (Virtual)
September 1, 2026 – FY26 Completion Reports, Budgeting, Family Engagement, Equitable Services (Virtual)
September 24, 2026 – Budgeting, Family Engagement, Equitable Services (In-Person – Georgia Department of Education, Atlanta, GA)
October 27, 2026 – Drawing Down Funds, Family Engagement, Professional Qualifications (Virtual)
January 26, 2027 – Carryover Budgets, Mid-Year Allocation Adjustments, Ongoing Monitoring, FY27 CLIP Progress Monitoring (In-Person – Heart of Georgia RESA, Dublin, GA)
March 30, 2027 – Identifying Needs, Building Plans, FY28 CLIP Highlights/Resources, Family Engagement, Equitable Services (In-Person – Georgia Department of Education, Atlanta, GA)
May 25, 2027 – Evaluating Plans, FY27 CLIP Progress Monitoring, Year-End Close Out, Family Engagement, Equitable Services (Virtual)
