Georgia Goes to School: 2026 Summer Administrator Series for Attendance

Description:
Designed for district and school administrators, this three-part June series focuses on concrete actions that can be taken during the summer to improve attendance and support a strong start to the school year. Each 90-minute session begins with a 15-minute GaDOE spotlight on the featured topic and recommended summer action steps, followed by a 60-minute district exemplar presentation demonstrating effective, multidisciplinary approaches to improving student attendance and experiences.
June 3 – Clean Your Data, Strengthen Your Outreach
– Learn how clean, accurate data can strengthen attendance outreach, improve planning, and support early intervention.
June 10 – Using Specialized Staff Strategically to Improve Attendance
– Explore how districts can effectively leverage specialized staff to build a coordinated approach to attendance improvement.
June 17 – Building Attendance Review Teams That Drive Results
– Examine how strong Attendance Review Teams use clear processes, documentation, and follow-up to support students before concerns escalate.
