Georgia Numeracy Project Series, Session 2

Intended Audience: Elementary Teachers, High School Teachers, Instructional Coaches/Coordinators, Middle School Teachers, Special Education Teachers, State Schools, Teacher Leaders

The Georgia Numeracy Project is a free, optional numeracy intervention resource. The resource consists of two parallel internal resources. The Georgia Early Numeracy Project addresses foundational numeracy in Kindergarten – Grade 7. The Georgia Secondary Numeracy Project addresses algebra readiness in Grade 8 – Algebra II. This 3-day series will explore the numeracy assessments and interventions within the resource.

September 7: Day 1 – Georgia Early Numeracy Project: Administering the Assessments
September 8: Day 2 – Georgia Secondary Numeracy Project: Administering the Assessments
September 9: Day 3 – Georgia Numeracy Project: Implementing Interventions with the Numeracy Tasks and Activities

All Day 1 sessions will explore the numeracy assessments within the Georgia Early Numeracy Project. The Georgia Early Numeracy Project addresses foundational numeracy and is suitable for Kindergarten – Grade 7.


All Day 2 sessions will explore the numeracy assessments within the Georgia Secondary Numeracy Project. The Georgia Secondary Numeracy Project addresses algebra readiness and is suitable for Grade 8 – Algebra II.


All Day 3 sessions will explore how to use the data from the numeracy assessments within the Early and Secondary Numeracy Projects to implement interventions using the numeracy tasks and activities.
