Inspire+Velocity Workshop Request for RESAs and Districts

By Request

Description:

The Digital Learning team is available to support your RESA or district in using GaDOE’s instructional resource platform, Inspire, and the embedded learning Velocity activities. You have the option to request a full-day or half-day training. The team is available for in-person or virtual learning.

We offer the following topics:
• Navigating the Inspire Resources: In this immersive session, teachers learn how to navigate and use the resources found in the Course Content Collections and Resource Repositories within Inspire. Teachers learn how to adapt GaDOE content to meet students’ needs and how to create their own content.

• Building Velocity Activities: Teachers discover how cognitive science is used to create interactive learning experiences for students that are connected to the Georgia learning standards. Teachers learn how to build Velocity activities and administer the activities to their students.

• Collaborating and Planning with Inspire: In our instructional resource platform, teachers can plan virtually within their schools and districts using the Georgia learning standards and GaDOE-created content found in Inspire. Teachers will learn how to create their content collections that will help grade-level or course teams plan collaboratively in Inspire.

• Designing Interactive Professional Learning Opportunities in GaDOE Inspire: Learn how to use the resources found in the Classroom Conversations podcasts to create interactive professional learning opportunities that will provide educators with an understanding of current topics in education while also learning more about creating Velocity activities.

• Exploring the Georgia Classroom: Discover all the digital resources available to Georgia educators through the collaboration of GPB Education and GaDOE, called Georgia Classroom. Teachers will learn how to navigate the resources on the GPB site and how to use these resources within Inspire.
