Launching Success: Essential Tools for New Fine Arts Teachers

Designed for new teachers, participants will receive discipline-specific, beginner-focused strategies for creating engaging classrooms, designing effective assessments, and developing lesson plans aligned to standards. This workshop prepares new Fine Arts teachers as they build strong programs in Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts. The session also explores time-tested methods for recruiting and retaining students while promoting programs through community engagement and vertical teaming.
The session highlights practical methods for classroom management, recruiting and retaining students, and connecting with community partners. New fine arts teachers will leave with ready-to-use resources, practical classroom tools, and clear action steps to use in the classroom.
In addition, laptops/devices with a workstation are REQUIRED.
