Start the 2026–27 school year with the latest tools, resources, and updates from GaDOE Social Studies. This session highlights new and expanded supports available through GaDOE Inspire, including instructional resources designed to strengthen standards-based instruction, promote inquiry, and enhance student engagement. Participants explore strategies for integrating disciplinary literacy, purposeful writing, and critical thinking into social studies instruction while leveraging principles from the science of learning to deepen understanding and improve long-term retention. Attendees also receive updates on upcoming initiatives, professional learning opportunities, and practical approaches for implementing Georgia’s K–12 Social Studies Standards with consistency, accessibility, and academic rigor throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
