Learner Goal Setting and Reflection for K-12 Academic Coaches and Teachers

April 22 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Description:

Join us for a highly interactive session for K-12 instructional coaches and teachers focused on planning and facilitating student-centered practices or personalized learning. All content is aligned with Georgia’s vision and standards for personalized learning.

The session’s goal is to better understand the why, what, and how of goal setting and reflection. Reflecting on what we know and how we learn builds self-awareness that can make goal setting a truly meaningful experience. We will explore how to implement student reflection and goal setting as practices that can build a bridge for students between the content they are learning and why they are learning it. Activities will include student-focused approaches and simulations of best practices in action, including metacognition.

Facilitators will share hands-on and reflection activities designed to engage and empower learners. Participants will walk away with knowledge of easy-to-use learner-centered experiences and the ability to apply practices that build capacity for the sustainability of personalized learning.
