Ever wanted to add visual art to your social studies classroom? This two-part arts integration series is for you! Explicitly teaching visual literacy in social studies increases engagement and allows students to make connections between their lives and history. This webinar teaches you how to build visual literacy with visual journals, enhance your inquiry lessons, and incorporate the art standards with your existing lessons to create personal meaning for students. You do not have to be “good” at art to attend this webinar!

This webinar is split up into the following two sections:
1. What is Visual Literacy?
2. Arts Integration and Practical Applications
