Mathematics Professional Learning, 2025-2026

The Georgia Department of Education is committed to providing opportunities for educators to engage in continuous professional learning to hone the knowledge and skills necessary to support the implementation of Georgia’s K-12 Mathematics Standards with fidelity.
A menu of professional learning opportunities are provided to support teachers and leaders with the implementation of effective instructional strategies, supports, and programming to help students master mathematics content standards at high levels. There are multiple durations available, including one-hour sessions up to full-day sessions. There are also multi-day sessions available. These professional learning opportunities, offered virtually or in-person, are provided within five specific strands: Numeracy Development, Effective Leadership Development, Coherent Instruction, Mathematics Instructional Framework, and Mathematics Pathways to Success. For all synchronous, in-person professional learning sessions facilitated by the GaDOE Mathematics Team, the required minimum number of participants is 25. In addition, participants should be ready to engage in hands-on, collaborative group activities. High levels of engagement will be REQUIRED.
