The RESA/GaDOE Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) project began in 2018 as a way to improve access to mental health training required for all public school safety plans. Since then, over 25,000 educators have received training as the project continues to evolve and grow. This year, the MHAT project is expanding the menu of courses to include options for more audiences and a wider variety of topics and class lengths. This webinar features information on exciting changes and overviews of the courses offered by the training providers. Featured training providers include Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL), Mental Health America of Georgia, NAMI Georgia, Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council, GSU Child Welfare Training Collaborative (CWTC), and Engage Life’s Choices.
