Screening, an essential component of Georgia’s MTSS, is used to identify students who need enrichment/acceleration or who are at risk for poor learning and/or behavior outcomes and provide an indicator of system effectiveness. In this session, MTSS Regional Coaches Dr. Donna McClain and Becky Wright guide participants to identify the importance of using screening and other data sources to verify risk, select and evaluate appropriate screening tools, apply screening data to decision making and action planning, and develop or refine a screening implementation plan.
