Presented by Dr. Tessie Rose Bailey, this session provides an overview of Georgia’s MTSS. The essential components of MTSS are discussed to bring about understanding of the MTSS framework and how it can be implemented in districts and schools. Additionally, the session focuses on Tier I practices and how to improve core instruction for all students. Through effective implementation of quality Tier I practices with fidelity, the number of students in need of additional tiered supports with evidence-based interventions will be reduced. With sustained, increased student performance and a focus on MTSS implementation, overall school improvement will occur.
