Progress Monitoring, an essential component of Georgia’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports, is the repeated measurement of student performance to determine a student’s response to intervention.
In this first of two sessions focused on implementing efficient and effective progress monitoring. Dr. Tessie Rose Bailey, Principal Technical Assistance Consultant with the American Institutes for Research (AIR), 1) explains the essential criteria of an MTSS progress monitoring system, 2) describes three progress monitoring goals setting strategies, and 3) discusses approaches to analyzing progress monitoring data.
