QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) for Suicide Prevention
March 18 - April 23

Description:
The QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention is a brief educational program designed to equip gatekeepers—individuals strategically positioned to recognize and respond to someone at risk of suicide, including parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, coaches, caseworkers, and police officers—with the skills to identify warning signs and take action. Participants learn to respond to a potential suicide crisis by following three steps: question the individual about suicidal intent, persuade the person to seek and accept help, and refer the person to appropriate resources.
