This workshop will guide dance educators through effective strategies for recruiting, promoting, and marketing their dance programs to increase visibility, participation, and community support. Participants will explore approaches to building interest among students, communicating program value to stakeholders, and using a variety of outreach methods to strengthen program enrollment. Participants will take a deeper dive into creating cohesive marketing plans, including branding, digital communication, event promotion, and leveraging performances as recruitment tools. Practical strategies for aligning messaging with program goals and school/community contexts will be emphasized. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to develop a clear and actionable plan for recruiting students and promoting their dance program.
