Reflecting on Reciprocal Processes that Develop Lifelong Literacy
June 23 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Description:
Reading and writing, listening and speaking, phonemes and graphemes, blending and segmenting, interpreting and constructing—reciprocity is an integral component of literacy. Unfortunately, skills that should inform and reinforce one another often become siloed and disconnected. Understanding and leaning into literacy’s many reciprocal processes is one way to undo that divide. During this journey of information and self-reflection, we will deepen our collective impact on student literacy and maybe even learn a little about ourselves as literarians.
