School Climate Star Ratings: What Counts and What to Do Next

As part of the GaDOE Office of Whole Child Supports’ Student Services Leadership Series, this session will help district and school leaders understand Georgia’s updated School Climate Star Rating and how it can support continuous improvement through Georgia’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS). Participants will learn what’s new in the rating model, how to access and interpret their results, and practical next steps for responding to their data and preparing for the upcoming survey administration.

Participants will:
– Locate School Climate Star Ratings and related survey data within MyGaDOE Portal.
– Recognize and interpret the key components of the School Climate Star Rating reports.
– Identify practical next steps for responding to school climate results and setting improvement priorities.
– Prepare for the next survey administration to support meaningful participation and quality data.

Duration: 1 hour
