School Nursing 101: Immunizations and Communicable/Reportable Diseases
The fourth webinar of a series hosted by the Office of Whole Child Supports, this presentation focuses on school-related immunization and communicable and reportable disease information. Information on required vaccines, exemptions, and school audits are included. Reportable illness information includes the list of reportable illnesses, the steps for school staff when there is a report of an illnesses, and when a provider diagnosis is needed. Speakers include Vanessa Aden, MPH, MPA, CIC and LaTonya Thomas-Smith, BS, MBA-HCM from the Georgia Department of Public Health.
