The Division for Exceptional Children Data and GO-IEP Team offers open office hours and webinars to support districts with the submission of required state reporting applications. District staff are encouraged to join these sessions, which provide Special Education data resources to support a successful reporting year.

July 21, 2026 | 1 p.m.
Join the Special Education Data and GO-IEP Team for an overview of Special Education data resources for a successful reporting year. This session will include a walkthrough of available supports and tools, reporting reminders, and an application review for Continuation of Services.
August 18, 2026 | 1 p.m.
This session will focus on Student Class data elements for Special Education. Topics include changes to Student Class reporting for the current reporting year, pseudo-courses for specific special education services, and a review of Student Class Special Education Delivery Models.
August 31, 2026 | 1 p.m.
An overview of FTE data elements for Special Education will be provided, including program codes, inclusion codes, and environment codes used to report data for local special education programs. Requirements for reporting Dexter Mosley students in FTE will also be addressed.
October 6, 2026 | 1 p.m.
Special education teachers and paraprofessionals are required to meet professional qualification requirements based on state law and federal ESSA requirements. This session will provide guidance on certification requirements and address LEA certification questions. District-level special education leaders are encouraged to have an HR professional attend.
November 3, 2026 | 1 p.m.
This session will focus on Student Record data elements for Special Education, specifically when and how to recover special education events rejected during the Student Record Data Collection. Topics include reasons for rejected records, moving events into Student Record history, recovering events that must be corrected, and removing events recovered in error.
December 17, 2026 | 10 a.m.
The Special Education Data and GO-IEP Team, in collaboration with Family Engagement specialists, will offer Session 1 of a two-part webinar series focused on improving data quality and increasing parent engagement through the Special Education Parent Survey. This session, Parent Survey: Working Together to Improve Student Outcomes With Strategic Plans, is intended for Parent Mentors and Special Education Directors.
February 23, 2027 | 10 a.m.
Session 2 of the two-part Parent Survey webinar series, Parent Survey: Evaluating the Plan, will continue the collaboration between the Special Education Data and GO-IEP Team and Family Engagement specialists. The target audience includes Parent Mentors and Special Education Directors.
March 16, 2027 | 1 p.m.
This session will cover the basics of reporting Special Education data during the Student Record collection. Tips for reporting the initiation of IEP services and transition services (Event “06”) for students with disabilities identified at the end of the year will also be discussed.
May 4, 2027 | 1 p.m.
This session will address summer Special Education data collection and provide guidance on the Special Education Applications Dashboard in the GaDOE Portal. Topics include Post School Outcomes, Preschool Outcomes, Parent Survey, Additional Technical Support and Improvement (ATSI), Continuation of Services, and Overdue Eligibility and IEP.
