Description:
Are you interested in learning more about STE /STEAM Certification? Maybe you want to learn how to incorporate more STEM/STEAM Activities into your daily instruction. Join us for this series of informative and interactive sessions. You will hear from school leaders who are implementing these practices and learn firsthand the impact STEM/STEAM has had on their students.
Session 1: STEM/STEAM 101 – What are the basics of STEM/STEAM implementation?
Session 2: PBL vs. Projects vs. Interdisciplinary Tasks – How are these different, and how do they work together to build a STEM/STEAM program?
Session 3: Arts Enhancement vs. Arts Integration – How are these different, and how do I know I am doing true arts integration?
Session 4: Community Partners – What are the best practices for engaging my community partners? Where do I find community partners?
Session 5: Collaborative Planning – How do I create an environment for collaborative planning and assist teachers in finding those interconnected ideas?
Session 6: Student Journals – What should students be journaling? How do I create prompts and opportunities for students to make their learning visible?
