Duration: 30 minutes
Intended Audience: School Nurses
In Georgia, stroke death rates are approximately 30 percent higher than the rest of the United States. Recognizing Stroke F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) is an educational presentation that provides an overview of the signs and symptoms of stroke, risk factors, and prevention strategies. We are hopeful that by partnering with students and staff in Georgia schools we can increase awareness of the signs of stroke, and decrease the number of hospitalizations and deaths across the state.
