What does it really mean when the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) states that Title V, Part B funds cannot supplant local, state, and federal funds? This session will explore rural local educational agency (LEA) needs that Title V, Part B can address to supplement and not supplant other local, state, and federal funds. Furthermore, this session will give practical tips and considerations for focusing on LEA goals while using these funds to supplement and not supplant initiatives and action steps. Participants will be able to create a checklist that will ensure funds are supplemental so that LEA needs are met while maintaining legal compliance!
