Recorded Webinar

Description:
This is a recorded webinar of the second Craft Lab session on October 29, 2025. The Craft Lab is a hands-on English language arts (ELA) professional learning series designed to bring Georgia’s K-12 ELA Standards to life for secondary (grades 6-12) educators. Each session models the structure of the newly released ELA Instructional Framework. Presenters Dr. Emily Lott and Dr. Courtney Peck lead participants in blending standards from the Language, Texts, and Practices domains when designing instruction to create one cohesive learning experience. This recording is designed for educators in grades 6–8 and focuses on standards L.V.2: Word Analysis, T.PM.1: Periods & Movements, P.CP.1: Collaboration, and P.CP.2: Presentation.
The Engage, Focus, and Reflection portions are shared with the 9–12 group; however, the breakout room Explore & Apply segment in this recording focuses specifically on grades 6–8. Educators seeking the 9–12 breakout content should refer to the 9-12 Session 2 recording.
