Join GaDOE ELA and the Cox Campus for Language & Literacy on a yearlong professional development journey centered on the science of reading. This comprehensive course sequence features live sessions facilitated by GaDOE ELA and deep dives led by Cox Campus. Register now to attend these fall sessions with GaDOE ELA:
September 22, 2021: Early Literacy: Phonological Awareness, Alphabet Knowledge & Print Awareness
October 26, 2021: Systemic & Explicit Phonics Instruction
November 16, 2021: Readalouds for Meaningful Comprehenision & Vocabulary
All sessions are virtual and run from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to attend the deep dives led by Cox Campus. Spring semester sessions are already scheduled for topics on assessment (January 20, 2022), oral language (February 17, 2022), reading fluency (March 24, 2022), explicit vocabulary instruction (April 21, 2022), and writing (May 12, 2022).
