This session will explore how school nurses contribute to the integrated MTSS framework by promoting whole child wellbeing, early identification of health-related barriers, and prevention strategies. Participants will learn how to bridge the expertise of school nurses with tiered supports, data use, and collaboration to enhance student outcomes.

Learning Objectives:
– Explore specific prevention and early intervention strategies school nurses implement to support student wellbeing.
– Consider how a school nurse might collaborate with MTSS teams to use health data in guiding tiered supports and improving student success.
– Understand the role school nurses can play in addressing chronic absenteeism for students with health issues.
