High-quality summer programs begin with intentional planning in the fall. Summer by Design is a four-session interactive institute that helps Georgia’s 21st CCLC teams create cohesive summer experiences aligned with student needs, grant goals, and school-year priorities. Through practical tools, guided planning, and peer collaboration, participants will address program design, staffing, partnerships, recruitment, implementation, and continuous improvement. Teams will leave with an actionable plan for preparing, implementing, and strengthening a high-quality summer program.
Sessions are as follows:
Tuesday, October 13, 2026 – Session 1: From Summer Activities to High-Impact Program Design
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 – Session 2: Creating a Stronger Bridge Between Summer and the School Year
Tuesday, November 3, 2026 – Session 3: Stress-Testing Your Summer Program for Successful Implementation
Tuesday, November 17, 2026 – Session 4: Building Continuous Improvement into Your Summer Program
