Understanding the Key Role of Nurses in the School Based Medicaid Program
Recorded Webinar

Description:
In this training, participants will learn about the role nurses across the state of Georgia play in the Children’s Intervention School Services (CISS) and Administrative Claiming for Education (ACE) programs. These programs generate much-needed Medicaid reimbursement for local education agencies (LEAs), and nurses are critical to their success. The training provides an overview of each program and emphasizes the vital role nurses play in implementation. Specifically, it connects how the Random Moment Time Study (RMTS), plans of care, and medical necessity relate to nurses’ day-to-day responsibilities. Participants will also learn how their work helps ensure Medicaid funds support student success and contribute to a safe school environment for all students.
