July 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Description:
Virtual Field Trips That Spark Learning: Bringing the World Into Your Classroom
Step beyond the classroom walls and discover how virtual field trips can create meaningful, interactive learning experiences for students of all ages. In this engaging professional learning session, educators will explore practical instructional strategies that transform virtual field trips from passive viewing into powerful opportunities for inquiry, collaboration, and deeper learning.
Participants will learn how to plan and facilitate effective virtual field trips by focusing on what happens before, during, and after the experience. The session will examine strategies for building background knowledge, setting learning goals, and preparing students with purposeful questions and activities before the trip. During the virtual field trip, educators will explore techniques for increasing engagement through active participation, discussion prompts, and collaborative learning strategies. After the experience, participants will discover ways to extend learning through reflection, project-based learning, creative response activities, and cross-curricular connections.
Whether new to virtual field trips or looking to strengthen student engagement and instructional impact, educators will leave with practical tools to create memorable learning experiences that connect students to the world beyond the classroom.
