WIDA-Facilitated Virtual Workshop: Actionable Practices for Newcomers

Description:
This workshop is designed to provide K-12 educators of English learners with increased awareness and actionable ideas for classroom instruction. Through guided activities and dialogue, educators will leave with ways to collaborate with colleagues and ensure access to meaningful, grade-level content in ways that are responsive to newcomers and their families’ unique experiences.
Participation Requirements
Participants must commit to attending both workshop sessions and completing one self-paced module (see flyer for details).
Registration Information
Registration closes Aug. 28, or when capacity is reached.
Participation is limited to 60 attendees and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Preference will be given to teams of two educators from the same school system.
