Let’s focus on the importance of involving school stakeholders and community partners in the local wellness policy process. Not only is this type of involvement a requirement of the policy, but it is best practice and an essential component of a whole-child-centered policy. Participants take away strategies and suggestions for engaging key stakeholders in the wellness policy process, such as students, families, and community organizations. This training is beneficial for School Nutrition Directors, Manager-Supervisors, Educators, Administrators, and Wellness Committee Members/Prospective Members. Learning Code(s): 3230, 4150.
