Developing Early Communication and Assistive Technology (AT) Skills with Students with Impairments
This webinar discusses ideas to develop a consistent method of responding called “partner-assisted scanning.” As this method of communication develops and the ability to use Assistive Technology (AT) tools progresses, these abilities can be transferred to the use of robust Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, computers, and tablets. Lite or low-tech AT tools, including switches and accessories, will also be highlighted during the webinar.
