Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking Like a Scientist
Recorded Webinar

Description:
This recorded professional learning session explores disciplinary literacy in science and how students can engage with science the way scientists do. Participants examine strategies that support students in reading scientific texts, writing evidence-based explanations, engaging in scientific discussions, and actively listening to evaluate ideas and evidence. By focusing on the literacy practices unique to science, educators learn how to help students develop deeper understanding, strengthen scientific reasoning, and communicate their thinking more effectively. Participants leave with practical strategies to integrate disciplinary literacy into standards-based science instruction.
