This session provides an overview of the Georgia Local Food for Schools (LFS) program purpose and discusses the use of funds, including documentation requirements. Participants also gain a further understanding of procurement requirements and opportunities. Lastly, best practices and examples from School Food Authority (SFA) spending are shared. Presenters include Holly Thaw and Angela Reynolds. This session is required training for Georgia’s Local Food for Schools (LFS) pilot program participants, including School Nutrition Directors, Coordinators, Manager/Supervisors, and Managers.
