The purpose of this session is to explain resource management requirements to maintain compliant school nutrition financial operations; review Buy American requirements and assess how to effectively manage USDA Foods inventory practices by monitoring purchases, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with best practices; outline the flow of meal counting from the point of service to the claim; summarize annual free and reduced policy action items; review DC list timeframes and the importance of monthly matching; and demonstrate school year startup tasks in SNO 2.0.
