MTSS in High School: Strategies for Scheduling

MTSS is often seen as a framework for elementary settings, but there is strong evidence that MTSS implementation in high school is worthwhile as it leads to improved student outcomes, decreased behavior incidents, and increased graduation rates.
In this third session of the three-part MTSS in High School series, Karen Suddeth, State Personnel Development Grant Program Manager, and Becky Wright, Georgia Tiered System of Supports Program Specialist, discuss considerations for scheduling instruction and intervention, identify strategies for scheduling teaming and problem solving, share examples of high school intervention schedules, and provide resources for schedule planning that promote effective MTSS implementation.
