Reigniting Family Engagement: Roots, Reasons, and Resources

This session invites LEA leaders to ground their work in the why–building trust, fostering relationships, and creating welcoming school communities where families feel seen, valued, and included. Participants explore research showing the strong impact of family and community involvement on student success and school climate, with a brief look at the role of parent mentors in strengthening those connections. Attendees gain practical resources and strategies to move from sharing information to building meaningful partnerships that support students and strengthen communities.
