Supporting Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) in Georgia
Recorded Webinar

Description:
Supporting Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) in Georgia: What is available for your students?
When students have timely access to accessible materials and the right supportive tools, they are better able to participate in grade-level instruction, demonstrate their knowledge, and build independence. Increasing educator awareness and use of AEM and assistive technology leads to more inclusive classrooms, stronger IEP implementation, and improved academic outcomes for students with disabilities. Ensuring that all students can access and engage with instructional materials is a critical component of education. This session provides an overview of what Georgia offers to school districts to support the provision of Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) and Assistive Technology for students with disabilities. A featured component of this session highlights Georgia’s Assistive Technology partnership and the availability of tools such as Read&Write, Equatio, and uPAR. Participants explore how these tools support reading, writing, and math accessibility, and how they can be implemented to remove barriers and increase student independence.
